JAILED: Violent Armthorpe robber locked up after attacking shopkeeper and threatening woman in her home 🔐 🚨
Blake Lester has been locked up for over four years in a young offender institution after an investigation into two separate robberies committed in the space of 48 hours.
Lester pleaded guilty to robbing a woman in her home after detectives recovered a coat he was wearing at the time which matched what was captured in CCTV footage from the time of the offence.
When he went on to rob a shopkeeper, crime scene investigators attended the scene of the crime and were able to collect CCTV evidence showing Lester's offending. They also took fingerprints from a Red Bull can and a pack of sweets, which following forensic analysis was confirmed as a DNA match to Lester.
After trying to evade capture, officers raided an address where they found Lester hiding underneath a pile of clothes. Lester, 19, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery and was jailed for a total of four years and two months during a sentencing hearing at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday (15 April). |
